the editor saved it for Saturday - bigger, more leisurely readership I assume?
the editor added a photo of 2 Ringling eles complete w/headdresses, and a creepy man.
the editor I spoke with, Jay, said 'my wife wants an elephant..' and when he read my letter, he asked about TES - is that the place with the dog and the elephant? wonderful story. he loved it.
So - I'll deepen this relationship - nice guy and maybe we can get something bigger going in the paper about eles.
The Albany arena where Ringling performs is now named the Times Union Center - and I asked Jay if this is a problem for publication of an anti-Ringling letter. He said not at all, marketing purchased the naming right, but they have nothing to do with the newspaper... known to print controversial and complaining letters about itself, I am told.
