PETE'S POND, BOTSWANA Pete Le Roux carved Pete’s Pond into the landscape as his answer to the rampant poaching and senseless killing of Africa’s wildlife, acts that bothered him from the moment he arrived in 1985 to conduct a leopard research project as a graduate student from South Africa’s University of Pretoria. STATUS: Off-season until August, 2007.

ELEPHANT PLAINS CAM From the Sabi Sand Wildtuin, adjacent to the Kruger National Park, this excellent streaming cam, another Africam offering, has a very clear picture and excellent stereo sound, with occasional panning and scanning. While you have to be lucky to see animals, frequent checks will prove to be rewarding, with the occasional herd of elephants and many other animals.

Here is the wonderful cam from The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee. Keep watching and you too will be able to identify the elephants. Always surprises and wonderful moments. Keep checking it and you will be rewarded! (If clicking on the little cam doesn't open up in your player, then go HERE and push "Click Here" for stand-alone player).STATUS: Operating 24/7 Must be refreshed after 7 minutes to continue viewing.

The Performing Animals Welfare Society in San Andreas, California has just started this streaming cam, a much-anticipated addition to the enjoyment we elephant-lovers get from watching elephants. We can see the very elephants we helped liberate, Wanda, Winky, Lulu, and Maggie. If having trouble getting into cam, load this into your WMP. http://www.pawsweb.org/webcam.asx

Nkorho Bush Lodge is situated in the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve and shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. An African Jewel, with a diverse abundance of wildlife. The full-colour streaming cam is fabulous! The sound is first-class, in full stereo and so sensitive you can hear a lion breath! They don't get much better than this, and we are hoping it stays up all year, even in the African rainy season, when there are not as many animals at the Pan. BOMA_BLOG

From McNeil Falls at the McNeil River State Game Sanctuary comes this fabulous streaming cam, which plays in RealPlayer, complete with sound, and pan and scan. One of the very best cams, which plays every summer in July and August. It is facinating to watch the bears interact as they try to catch dinner. Watch cubs, bear dominance, fights and near-fights, and join the forum for more information and discussion.

There are 2 cams:

http://www.pawsweb.org/web_cams.html

It is only 5:36 AM Pacific time there now, so it is possible the cams haven't been turned on yet.
